Imperfect Living is the Place for Me!
I looked at the floor and winter gloves, hats, scarves were thrown everywhere. I had an idea for how I wanted to fix this issue, I could buy a hanging shoe organizer, but did not want to spend money. So I came up with a solution to sew a hanging organizer. I put together a plan and began to sew, but realized I would never finish this project in time if I stuck to my plan of sewing. Instead I grabbed my glue gun and finished putting it all together.
What does this have anything to do with imperfect living? This is an example of time I had to let go of what I thought was the perfect solution, a hanging shoe organizer, and embrace the imperfect, an organizer that was instead hot glued together that works.
Let Go of the Perfectionism
Perfectionism gets us stuck. It prevents us from moving forward. Embracing imperfect living helps us to enjoy where we are and to move forward. When we embrace the imperfect we can keep moving forward and solving problems. We can then do the best we can in the circumstances we are given, and forget the rest.
Embrace the imperfect, find a solution, and move forward.
